UX/UI Design: Medical Suppy Depot

The Medical Supply Depot is a leading online retailer of medical supplies for consumers, hospitals, EMT, and nursing homes. Their current site is, frankly, a cluttered mess.

So I set out to redesign the User Experience from start to finish by cutting. When I was done I felt I had cut 90% or more out and left just the core fundamentals. This new site is focused on one thing and one thing only: shopping.

The rest is nice info that some customers might want to know, but once they know, they are not likely to keep looking at it. That stuff went into the footer where it belongs. The client selected the ten or so main categories. We had more than we had room for so I created a fly-out to accommodate just about anything else you'd want to navigate to. Consolidation of all these categories is warranted, but for now, it works.

The client also heavily relies on e-mail traffic so the newsletter sign-up is quite prominent.

Everything on the screen except the logo was created by me: the branding, colors, styles, fonts, layouts, interactions, behaviors were created from scratch by me and hand-tested on both paper and screen before launch.
