Using the vintage Apple logo for Mac OS

Screen Shot 2013-05-03 at 10.28.42 AMYou wouldn’t think finding the old 70′s Apple logo as an icon for Mac OS would be hard, but apparently it is. I just made my own. Here it is.

1. To use this icon, select it in the finder, and hit ⌘-i to bring up the info window.

2. Then select the icon, and hit ⌘-c to copy it into memory.

3. Then select the icon you want to change to the Apple logo, and hit ⌘-i on that.

4. Select the icon, then hit ⌘-p and it will paste it in.

That’s it!

 

 

Digital, interactive subway maps in train stations are a BAD IDEA

1. They can break, fail, and go out of service, which paper maps can’t.
2. They only allow one person at a time to use them. With a paper map multiple people at the same time can look at it and see how to get somewhere.
3. Kids will stand there and play with them, rendering them useless for New York commuters.
